Chapel Down Bacchus Tasting Notes by Wine Expert, David Andrews, DipWSET
Chapel Down, for me, have probably nailed the British expression of Bacchus. Whole bunch pressing results in gentle extraction to make sure they show off the aromatic aromas of this variety as much as possible. It is a bright, fresh and lively wine that boasts great fruit definition and some good complexity too. On the fruit side you'll find grapefruit, lemon, melon and green apple. It is a perfect way for Sauvignon drinkers to expand beyond the usual.
